Long before Anthony and Sara opened their restaurants, they loved entertaining their friends and family in their backyard in Claremont. The entire family especially looked forward to Sunday Suppers, held every other week, when 20-30 (or more) friends and neighbors gathered together to enjoy fantastic food and amazing drinks - but mostly camaraderie and fellowship that became the highlight of everyone’s week.
But times changed, as they do, and the Villegases got busy running The Meat Cellar. Neighbors moved away, friends drifted apart, and Sunday Suppers became a thing of the past. And since those days, Anthony and Sara have missed those vibes, and they’ve longed to bring people together, once again, around tables at the close of the weekend, to celebrate the start of a fresh new week.
And so, the Villegases are launching Sunday Suppers at The Market.
This will be a unique dining experience on the patio that must be reserved in advance. Each week will feature a special menu, beginning with a cocktail hour to encourage mingling and continuing with a sit down meal. We will have some communal tables but we recognize that some people might be a little slow to warm up, so guests will be able to note their preference of a private table (with a specific party size) or group seating.
Most weeks the Villegases themselves will attend, and we’ll note on the calendar when they might not be available. But we hope to create a community who continues to show up for each other, and enjoys the gathering just as much with or without Anthony and Sara. And if you’re just interested in the food, or would prefer to stick with your own people offsite, that’s ok too. Everything will be available for pre-ordered takeout.
